Mecinilla, Pórtugos

Image
Back in the region Alpujarra (province of Granada, Spain). Being physically in this beautiful and remote region and, at the same time, feeling as world citizen... Asking myself why some people seem to mean that learning foreign languages is not important for artists, while the world is our home.    Pórtugos Mecinilla

Real paint

Of course, it can be thrilling to work digitally with a draw or paint programme. But the fact that you can undo and redo each action indefinitely - and that so many functions are available – is not the best prerequisite to stimulate my creativity. For me, being creative means working spontaneously. Trying to put on paper or canvas the idea I have in my head or the spot I have in front of me. Of course, the product of this creative process will sometimes be a bit strange, precarious or unbalanced. It is supposed to be. Making art, I do not want to spend more times as necessary in front of a screen (I am already spending enough time communicating with screens). I want to feel the sun and smell the paint. Real paint. Places of Andalusia

I wish I could spend one whole year exploring the beautiful region (and autonomous community) of Andalusia... Looking forward

Image
I try to look forward, always, especially after elections, hoping that future will not look like the past, but also in general, in life... My childhood was not filled with secret places and hidden treasures, so the only nostalgia I know is that of the places I am visiting now and would never leave if I could.
