Camino del Agua

Image
Yesterday was the official opening of the open air exhibition "Camino del Agua" (literally, 'water path') in the pedestrian centre of Torremolinos. It is about the beauty of the surroundings mountains, but also about the cultural heritage of our town with its natural springs and water mills ( molinos in Spanish).  The exhibition is free and will stay there until June. It is worth to read the panels and to learn about biological diversity and history.  Here just a small sketch (it was too cold to sketch long) and some pics. Enjoy! #CaminoDelAgua  #Torremolinos

Europe 2017

Finally, I finished my contribution for Twitter Art Exhibit . This year, the exhibition will take place in April Stratford upon Avon, England (I will give more information about this event at the end of March).  I first wanted to use some acrylic paint on paper as last year, but the cardboard that I had at my disposal was a bit thin for it, and I was not happy with the result. Therefore, I chose to use a India ink pen only to get a black and white drawing.  Afterwards, I enjoyed making the experiment to colour it digitally, but I definitely prefer the black and white version. A new beginning

The beginning of this year is different: soon, two good friends whom I haven't seen for (respectively) 26 and 18 years are going to visit me, coming from South America and Asia! Unavoidably, we will come to reflect about time speeding up and that sort of things. But the most important is the present. The fact that we are still in contact and have so much to share - here and now. A new beginning

Hello, 2017!

Image
2016 ended with heavy rainfall in the region where we are used to spend the end of the year (Mar Menor, Murcia). We saw flooded fields, muddy streets and roads (red mud!), but the landscape is always beautiful and even if it was not possible to hike as usual because of inaccessible paths, we could enjoy the nature. New Year's Eve was very calm there, that is the reason why we love it: (almost) no fireworks, crackers and other noise that scare our dog so much. Back home, I will now try to make the best of this new year. :-) Happy, healthy and creative New Year to you all! Los Urrutias (region of Murcia)
