Andalusia Day

Image
Today is February 28, a holiday here in Andalusia ("Andalusia Day" or "Día de Andalucía" in Spanish). Banks and most shops are closed (schools are closed the whole week), and people generally spend this free day with family and friends. I wanted to use this opportunity to show some impressive mountains we have nearby. The best known is perhaps El Torcal de Antequera, with it surreal rock formations. But there are many more beautiful spots in this autonomous region. Enjoy ! Winter fruits

Last night, we suffered a long and severe thunderstorm with heavy rain (red weather warning for the coast). Of course, the dog was so scared that we did not sleep either. Now, it is "only" windy, with increasing waves that give the blue Mediterranean a brown look.  I wanted to create a peaceful, harmonious work: when the sun is shining, winter can be so nice in this part of Spain. ;-) Winter fruits

The advantage of not sending automated DM

Image
In my opinion, nothing more annoying that getting an automated direct message as soon as you follow someone on Twitter: "Thank you for following me. As a gift, you can use the following coupon for 50% discount in my gallery -via @Crowdfire", "Please do like my Facebook page and follow me on Instagram -via @Crowdfire") etc. No doubt that such tools may be helpful to manage your account and grow your network, but...  A couple of days ago, I got a real, human DM. Wow! A colleague who had taken the time to write a couple sentences and wanted to *meet new people* (not just to grow her network), how refreshing! I replied to her message and the exchange still is going on (while I always delete automatic DM at once and even tend to unfollow).  Meeting people is a time-consuming process, and selling implicates dedication as well. You cannot run through life letting apps and tools doing all the "work" for you.  Open house
