My small acrylic painting "Hope" (12 x 16 cm) reached New York safely a couple of days ago. It will be part of the international exhibition of handmade postcards Twitter Art Exhibit in NYC!
Because of the motto "Through art we can change the world", I wanted to create something strong and positive. I wish we artists could really succeed in making the world a little better. Art is something universal, uniting in a world full of matters that divide us. I wanted a lot of red on my card, colours and forms related to the sun, flowers, hearts and Spanish summer.

The sea is rough, the wind is icy. I was dreaming that spring would establish itself definitely form tomorrow on, as our favourite pizzeria will be reopening after four long months winter holidays! But winter has come back. It is only February, after all. We will have to eat our first pizza with jumpers and ponchos. ;-)

I cannot get some pictures out of my head. Pictures of thousand abandoned life jackets on the island of Lesbos. Volunteers helping refugees not to drown, distributing thermal blankets, tea... And, unfortunately, some life jackets swimming alone in the Aegean Sea and bodies lying on the shore. Until when?
