Old tractor in Iznájar

Image
We were back to our beloved Iznájar (province of Cordoba (but almost in Malaga), Spain) after a whole year's absence. As always, we enjoyed the tranquillity, the scenery, our human and dog friends, even the heat, that is much drier than here on the coast. An old tractor next to our path reminded us that people make a living from farming there, producing the "liquid gold of the Mediterranean" (olive oil). On the foreground, pinkish-white caper flowers that smell wonderful.  Old tractor in Iznájar

Summer solstice - pebbles and waves

Image
The summer solstice is almost there. The wind is still chilly, but waves on the beach are huge and wonderful. Fortunately for those who could not make a living during more than a year, tourists are now coming back, not as usual, but almost. Although it won't be possible to celebrate "Midsummer" as usual this year (beaches will be closed by the police), people will certainly make the best of it elsewhere.

Six animaloons are done!

Again, half a year has gone, and six animaloons (funny inflated creatures) have been drawn so far on @Animaloonies, on Twitter. Here there are, enjoy them!  Wolpertingerloon Wolfloon Dolphinloon Anteaterloon Meerkatloon Hippoloon

Picnic on the field

Image
June is there, time to picnic on the grass or beach or park, before it is too hot to enjoy sitting in the sun. Hopefully life that feels a little bit more normal will be possible again soon, although I am fully aware that tings will never go back to how there were. Picnic on the field
