Warm colours against bad weather

Image
It is frustrating to have a long weekend but not being able to enjoy it properly because of rain, wind and cold... Of course, rain is always sorely needed for agriculture and human use here in Andalusia, but still. So, we stayed more or less at home, and I painted some coloured hills with olives and cacti (it could be Jaen, Cordoba or even nearer, somewhere in Malaga).  And I made a new picture of my little avocado plant, which will be called "tree" one day if it keeps growing well (we had to fumigate it once three weeks ago, but it seems everything is all right again).

Pizarra: soft hills and a big sky

Image
Situated approximately 30 km from Malaga, the small white town of Pizarra offers some interesting walks with panoramic views: soft hills with olive and almond trees . In some places, it is even possible to see the Mediterranean sea. I made a small sketch there, that I coloured digitally later.  The only catch: in this idyllic landscape, one plane after another was descending for landing at Malaga airport. And: w e collected some rubbish other walkers let "fall" in the nature. Hey, people, why is it so difficult to take your rubbish with you?

Sea Life: half alphabet is done!

Image
Last week, Animal Alphabets community was talking about the fact that challenge and community were existing for four years already. All this time, I have been learning the English name of animals that I do not even know in my mother languages - and learning how to draw them, leaving my comfort zone more than once. Again, half of current alphabet focusing on Sea Life is finished. Here a small collage with letters A to M, and my favourite ones, Dumbo Octopus and Goblin Shark. Enjoy! And - it is still not too late to join if you like: post every Monday at 7.30 pm GMT.
