Happy midsummer!

Image
Here some pictures from Sweden around the theme water . I loved being there enjoying the silence, looking at the sky and water, with no need to check mailboxes or profiles. Although technology is indispensable, of course, I often think that we have become modern slaves and forget the essential. I wish you a nice midsummer! I hope you can celebrate in the nature and enjoy the longest day of the year if you are in the Northern hemisphere!  Evening on the island Solö   Beach in Riddersholm Naturreservat   Forest in Riddersholm Naturreservat   In Riddersholm Naturreservat    In Riddersholm Naturreservat   Bogesundlandets Naturreservat   Near the romantic village of Wira Bruk

Animaloons January - June

Image
Month after month, the challenge @animaloonies (drawing an inflated animal every second Tuesday of every month) is going on Twitter. This week, I realised that half of the year is already done! January was yesterday, and today, Spanish neighbours are planning their midsummer party and some clients of mine are already sending me stuff for September or even December.  Here are my six animaloons so far. My favourite is the foxloon, because he looks so happy. Enjoy! Dragonloon Leopardloon Hedgehogloon Foxloon Skunkloon Beeloon

Ferries in Yxlan

Image
Back from Sweden, I still have (again) so many impressions to share. I took some pics of water, trees, islands that I will hopefully be able to share soon. In the meanwhile, a small abstract sketch about the two yellow car ferries operating between Furusund and Köpmanholm on the island of Yxlan (Stockholm's archipelago), and two black and white figurative sketches about Riddersholm and the island of Solö. Art by nature

Image
I have been working for a longer time collecting pictures of art made by nature, walking on shores, through forests, along fields. I found barks and trunks, rocks, stones and soils, plants, shells...  I now have enough to begin this new series on Fine Art America  (I will complete it gradually). Nature is an abstract artist too, we just have to open our eyes!  Shells adorning buoy  Bark, dandelion and grass  Plant and stone  Stones in the Baltic Sea Red pine cones
