More olive groves: Iznájar, province of Cordoba (Spain)

Iznájar is another picturesque village (maybe I should say "town") in the very south of the province of Cordoba (Andalusia, Spain) that is worth a visit. Years ago, an artificial lake was created there as reservoir for domestic consumption, and Iznájar, situated on a promontory, escaped from submersion.
At every hour of the day, different "miradors" offer splendid views on the lake below and the surroundings hills with olive groves.

We spent two nights there but did not stay in town. Instead, we preferred a small rural hotel nearby, where dogs are not only accepted but really welcome (still rather difficult to find in Spain). Because temperatures were not as high as usual, we could even walk a bit in the beautiful countryside. Enjoy (whole album here)!
