Mountain view

Once again, we went back to Iznájar (province of Cordoba). It is always hotter there than on the coast, but this time, Spain got its first heat wave of the year quite early (it is not over yet). It isn't even summer! 

The best thing to do was to go for a walk at 6:00 a. m. in the dark to see the sun rising slowly, and then, to stay inside from 9:00 a. m. with a good book (Donna Leon!) enjoying the mountain, garden and lake views. And then, after 7:30 p. m., to get lost in the immensity of night.

September, finally! Temperatures are dropping (a bit, at least in the mornings and evenings), which is a good thing. We are even expecting some rain tomorrow. End of the Year Again

I find it difficult to look back and to look forward because I am someone who lives in the present. Since I don't know what tomorrow will bring, I don't want to worry too much about what I will do, won't do or should avoid. But one thing is certain: in 2024, I will hold on, just as I did in 2023. Trying not to hurt others, trying to live reducing my carbon footprint. Living with eyes wide open to see beauty wherever it is. Making art out of it.
