Life is sometimes an eternally long road. Eemnes

Life sometimes feels like an eternally long road. Especially when everything is different, because forbidden or impossible.

One can enjoy during the journey though, looking at the birds, the sky, the cattle. Here some pictures of the polder landscape near the small town of Eemnes, The Netherlands (prints available through Fine Arts America):

  1. I love these open horizons! I wish I could cycle down that lane! I've just spotted your comment on my blog, Chani, about sleeping outside - I'm not sure I could - I would be too afraid in the dark. We've got foxes around as well and they make a hell of a racket when they're mating - seriously, it's like someone being tortured. I feel scared listening to them in the house! Maybe I could sleep in a tent though. But then I'm thinking I need to get up to use the toilet several times during the night - how am I going to do that? I like my creature comforts LOL. Otherwise, I love the idea in theory. Luckily, it's a lot cooler now and we've had lots of rain too. This is much more my kind of weather! More rain tomorrow yay! Thanks so much for your visit! Enjoy the rest of the summer!

    1. Sleeping in the garden with foxes around may be a problem... It may be different if you had a dog. When we sleep outside (no foxes here, just cats and owls), of course, it is a longer way to the toilet, a bit uncomfortable in that sense, but the stars and the sky are so rewarding that it is worth it.
