May. A broken ship

Since last Thursday, mobility has finally been restored within Andalusia after four months of closure (we may travel to another province, but still may not leave the region, for example, travel to Madrid or Valencia). We did not leave the province of Málaga since October, so we could not wait to go back to El Puerto de Santa María, near Cádiz, to enjoy our habitual trails there, and the historic centre.

Near to the river Guadalete, we saw this broken ship (it has been there for a long time already, but last time, taking pictures was not possible because of too much vegetation), that could represent Europe at the moment: broken, but still there - and beautiful.

Those are small sketches from the picturesque old town that I made six years ago. Prints and other stuff is available on my website on Fine Art America

  1. The picture of that ship is amazing and your sketches are great too. Hopefully, you can travel again soon and enjoy other parts of Spain and Europe.

    1. Thanks for visiting, Zsuzsa! Yes, this ship fascinates me, I wonder what happened so that the owner let it there... I hope travelling in Spain and Europe will be possible again soon, without quarantines, tests of all sorts and whatever our governments will invent. ;-)
