Living without freedom
Later, maybe, we will be able to read a lot about the impact of lockdown on mental health and economy. When the toxic measures that are now in force are relaxed, the newspapers will feed us with other statistics - about anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicide attempts, unemployment, short-time work, domestic violence, human right violations...
Once is sure: no one will be the same again. Myself, I have been reflecting a lot about democracy, basic values and purpose in life. Some priorities have changed. The only thing I know is that I will be following my conscience, as always. But my future may be a different one, at another place, as I had imagined two months ago.
